| Vacant But Not Abandoned | Term used to describe a property where there is no occupant in the dwelling but there is an occupant on the property. Example: Homeowner moves out of flooded home and living in FEMA trailer in back yard. |

| Vacant Property | A property that has been verified as unoccupied. Attempt to verify that the property is vacant. If the inspection request is a bankruptcy you must do this without contacting the occupant. Other inspection types allow contact with neighbors, checking of utilities, etc. |

| Value Inspection | The value inspection provides the opinion of value for a property based on two comparable properties\' sale or listing price. The property condition, area observation and any existing or potential conditions the inspector feels may effect the property\'s value or marketability will also be provided. This inspection provides the inspectors opinion of value, and is not an appraisal. This inspection should not be used for lending decisions or extending credit. |

| Vendor Code | An identifying alphanumeric set of characters which identify an independent contractor to the company issuing the field services request. |

| Venue | In Law: The jurisdiction where a trial is to be held. |

| Verify VIN | Confirm the Vehicle Identification Number matches the one on the paperwork. If none is given on the paperwork, find and record the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). |
